Lammas or Lughnasadh

August 1st is the celebration of Lammas or Lughnasadh. It is a time of reaping what you have sown. The summer is winding down and we are enjoying the last of the summers harvest in anticipation of the fall.

It is a time to be thankful for all that is bountiful. At this time of year our ancestors were harvesting the first sheaves of grain. They had to make sure there was enough grain for bread that needed to be baked to feed their families over the winter.

This is also the time of year for rebirth and renewal. If you are interested in a new craft or if you want to work on something you already do ,now is the time for that.

It's a time for reflection as the year comes to an end.Have things come to fruition for you??????Namaste!
